City birds are "learning to rap", the BBC reports:
Dutch researchers found that urban species of birds sing short fast songs rather than the slower melodies of countryside birds.
It seems that the birds must be "rapping" because they are "urban" - a word frequently used in music as code for black.
In fact, if the birds are singing "short fast songs" I think they've discovered punk rather than rap.
No word on whether country birds visiting the city complain about modern birdsongs being just noise and that you can't hear the words.
